Return Policy

At Basics, we strive to bring you the highest quality products for your pets. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may return any products within 30 days of the transaction. Returns will only be accepted for products purchased directly from

To return a product you must request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) within 30 days of the original purchase date. To request a RMA, simply send us an email at or complete our contact form found here. All RMA requests must be accompanied by the original order number as well as a reason for the return. You will receive a response within 2 business days with detailed return instructions.

Return Conditions

Products must be returned in the in their original condition (food products must be unopened). If a product you receive is damaged, this is not considered a return and you must notify us within 10 days of order delivery. Please see damaged merchandise section below for more information.


Refunds will be issued for the full purchase price of the product, less any applicable shipping charges. Basics reserves the right to charge a restocking fee dependent on the condition of the return. The refund amount will be issued in the form of a credit to the original card or account used for the purchase.

It is important to note that no product can be returned without an RMA number. Returning a product without an RMA number waives our responsibility of issuing a refund, even if proof of delivery is available.

Damaged or Defective Items

Upon receipt of your order, please inspect your product(s) carefully. If a product you receive is damaged or defective you must notify us within 10 days of order delivery. Do not discard any of the shipping label, packing material, or broken/defective items before contacting us at or via the contact page found here.

Damaged or defective items will be replaced only after the item is returned. If you would like to receive a refund instead of a replacement, you will be subject to the return policy outlined above.
